Commercial Cleaning Contractor – Glenny Kebabs Locations

Engagement type: Independent cleaning contract
Payment: Fixed weekly contract amount
Schedule: Outside store trading hours

Glenny Kebabs is seeking experienced and reliable commercial cleaners to service one or more of our Melbourne restaurant locations.

This is an independent cleaning contract - not an hourly-paid employee position. Each store has an established weekly contract amount and a detailed cleaning checklist that must be completed during every scheduled service.

• Mount Waverley – 423 Blackburn Road, Mount Waverley
• Box Hill – 183 Middleborough Road, Box Hill South
• Forest Hill – 342–348 Springvale Road, Forest Hill
• Vermont – 10 Boronia Road, Vermont
• Glen Huntly – 1139 Glen Huntly Road, Glen Huntly
• Dandenong – Level 2 Food Court, Dandenong Square, 23–55 McCrae Street, Dandenong

Applicants may nominate one or multiple locations.

Cleaning Hours

All cleaning must be completed after the allocated store has closed and before it reopens.

Dandenong cleaning will generally commence after the shopping centre closes, between approximately 7pm and 9pm depending on the day. Our remaining locations trade late and require overnight cleaning.

Exact access times will be confirmed for each store.

Cleaning Responsibilities

A detailed store-specific checklist will be provided. Depending on the location, responsibilities include:

Kitchen Equipment

• Fully cleaning kebab machines, including removable trays, lids, oil drip trays, meat rods, burner covers, controls, edges and surrounding areas
• Cleaning grill plates until silver and free from carbon, grease and chemical residue
• Cleaning grill bodies, corners, rear vents, legs, drip trays and storage areas underneath
• Cleaning bain-maries, including tubs, water wells and surrounding surfaces
• Cleaning equipment listed for the allocated store
• Removing and cleaning fryer oil-filter trays, fryer baskets, fryer exteriors and areas underneath
• Cleaning canopy surfaces, corners and drip trays on the scheduled weekly cleaning day

Back of House

• Cleaning stainless-steel benches, shelving, sinks and hand basins
• Cleaning walls, splashbacks
• Cleaning drains and sink areas
• Sweeping and mopping all floors using hot water and heavy-duty cleaner
• Cleaning underneath fryers, grills, benches, sinks, salad bars and shelving
• Cleaning storage areas, shelving and cleaning sinks
• Returning all equipment and stock to the correct location after cleaning

Front of House

• Cleaning floors, walls, mirrors, windows, doors and signage
• Cleaning customer and staff toilets
• Emptying and cleaning bins and bin-storage areas

All equipment must be reassembled correctly and returned to its allocated position after cleaning.

Contractor Requirements

Applicants must:

• Hold a valid and active ABN
• Be able to issue valid tax invoices
• Hold current public liability insurance
• Have commercial kitchen or hospitality cleaning experience
• Have reliable transport
• Be available for late-night or overnight work
• Follow the complete store checklist during every service
• Follow chemical, electrical, equipment and food-safety instructions
• Follow all key, alarm and site-security procedures
• Consistently meet the required cleaning standard
• Report maintenance, hygiene or equipment concerns promptly
• Have reliable replacement coverage when unavailable, subject to GK approval and access requirements
