Assess, treat and support adults with complex mental health needs while building recovery-focused pathways through evidence-based psychological care.

Employment Type: Temporary Part Time (16 hpw up to 19th August 2027) & Temporary Part Time (24 hpw up to 15th February 2027)

Remuneration: $57.30 - $69.84 per hour

What you'll be doing
As a Clinical Psychologist, you will provide specialised psychological assessment and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for adults experiencing severe, persistent and complex mental health conditions. You will play an integral role in supporting recovery-focused care while working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality consumer outcomes.

  • Conduct comprehensive psychometric and neuropsychological assessments for adult consumers
  • Deliver evidence-based psychological therapies to individuals with complex mental health needs
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews, clinical consultations and treatment planning
  • Support integrated models of care through collaboration with clinicians, services and key stakeholders
  • Provide clinical supervision, consultation and education to health professionals to enhance service capability

Essential Requirements:
Qualification: Completion of a recognised Master's or Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology
Registration: Current full registration with AHPRA, Psychology Board of Australia

Selection Criteria:
  • Experience providing individual and group evidence-based therapy including CBT and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) for adults with severe mental illness (SMI).
  • Experience providing psychometric and neuropsychological assessments for adults with SMI.
  • Experience working in inpatient and/or community mental health settings with adult mental health consumers.
  • Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills in producing comprehensive reports or briefs.
  • Willingness to travel between inpatient and community mental health units in WSLHD.
  • Current Drivers Licence valid within Australia.
