Full job description
Proactive Health is a national allied health network that brings together over 40 independent allied health businesses across 450+ locations in every state and territory in Australia. Our clinics are led by passionate local owners who deliver exceptional, community-focused care with the backing of a national support structure that includes clinical governance, professional development, mentorship, and genuine career pathways.
We are always growing. New clinics join the network, existing clinics expand their teams, and new locations open in communities that need quality allied health services. That means roles come up regularly, and often at short notice, across a wide range of disciplines and locations.
This Expression of Interest is your way of getting on our radar before a role is even advertised.
Who We Want to Hear FromWe welcome expressions of interest from qualified or soon-to-qualify allied health professionals across the following disciplines:
Physiotherapy
Exercise Physiology
Occupational Therapy
Podiatry
Speech Pathology
Dietetics
Social Work
Psychology
Allied Health Assistance
Whether you are a new graduate about to finish your degree, an early-career clinician looking for your next move, an experienced practitioner wanting a sea change, an international clinician exploring opportunities in Australia, or a senior clinician interested in leadership, mentorship, or clinic ownership, we want to hear from you.
You do not need to have a specific role in mind. You do not need to be actively looking right now. You just need to be open to a conversation about what Proactive Health could offer you when the timing is right.
What Proactive Health OffersA genuine multidisciplinary team model. Our clinicians do not work in silos. Physiotherapists, exercise physiologists, occupational therapists, podiatrists, dietitians, and social workers collaborate daily on shared patient care plans. This is coordinated care in practice, not just in name.
Clinical variety across multiple funding streams. Our teams work across DVA, Medicare (EPC), NDIS, Home Care Packages, private health, and workers' compensation. Your caseload will always have breadth, and your clinical skills will stay sharp.
Locations across Australia. From capital cities to coastal towns to regional centres, we have clinics in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania, Western Australia, and the Northern Territory. If there is a part of Australia you have always wanted to live and work in, there is a good chance we have a clinic nearby or one on the way.
Mentorship and professional development. Every clinician in the Proactive Health network has access to the Proactive Health Academy, discipline-specific mentorship from experienced practitioners, and structured Graduate and Leadership Programs.
Career pathways that go somewhere. From clinician to senior practitioner, to team lead, to clinic management, to ownership. The pathway is clearly defined, genuinely supported, and real. Several of our current clinic owners started as clinicians within the network.
What Happens When You Submit Your Expression of InterestThis is not a formal application. There is no interview, no assessment, and no commitment on either side. Here is what will happen:
You submit your details and resume through this page.
Our Head of Talent, Stuart Smith, will review your profile and reach out for an informal conversation to understand your experience, your preferences, and what you are looking for.
Your details will be kept on file in our talent database, tagged by discipline, location preference, and availability.
When a role opens up that matches your profile, we will contact you directly, often before the role is advertised publicly. This gives you first-mover advantage on opportunities across the network.
If you are an international clinician who does not yet hold AHPRA or ESSA registration or the right to work in Australia, we still want to hear from you. We can guide you through the registration and visa pathway and keep you in our pipeline for when the time is right.
What We Would Like to Know About YouWhen you submit your expression of interest, please include:
Your updated resume or CV.
The allied health discipline you are qualified in (or studying towards).
Your current location and any locations you would be open to working in.
Your availability — are you available now, in the next 3 months, or further out?
Whether you hold current registration (AHPRA, ESSA, SPA, Dietitians Australia, AASW, or equivalent) and your registration status.
Your work rights in Australia (citizen, permanent resident, visa holder, or requiring sponsorship).
A brief note on what you are looking for — this could be as simple as "I am an EP in Brisbane looking for a DVA-focused role on the Sunshine Coast" or "I am a new grad OT open to anything regional." The more we know, the better we can match you.
Requirements
There are no strict requirements for an expression of interest. However, to be considered for future roles within the Proactive Health network, you will generally need:
A recognised tertiary qualification in your allied health discipline (completed or in final year of study).
Current registration with the relevant body (AHPRA, ESSA, SPA, Dietitians Australia, AASW) or eligibility to obtain registration.
The right to work in Australia (or a willingness to explore visa and sponsorship pathways).
A genuine interest in patient-centred, multidisciplinary allied health care.
If you do not meet all of these right now, that is fine. Submit your expression of interest anyway and we will have a conversation about what the pathway looks like for you.
Benefits
When a role becomes available and you are matched, here is what you can expect from Proactive Health:
Competitive salary packages discussed based on discipline, experience, and location.
Diverse clinical caseloads across DVA, Medicare, NDIS, Home Care, private, and workers' compensation.
Sustainable workloads designed around quality care, not volume.
Dedicated mentorship from experienced practitioners in your discipline.
Access to the Proactive Health Academy for ongoing professional development and CPD.
Structured Graduate Program for new and early-career clinicians.
Leadership Program for clinicians ready to step up.
Clear career pathways to senior clinician, team lead, clinic management, or ownership.
The Hot Tub rewards program with discounts from major Australian retailers and wellbeing centre access.
A multidisciplinary team that genuinely works together around patient outcomes.
Relocation support for candidates moving to regional or interstate locations (role dependent).
The best of both worlds: private practice autonomy with national network support behind you.
