Ravensworth Operations comprises of Ravensworth Open Cut and the Coal Handling Preparation Plant that provides high quality coal for the export market. The operation has approval to mine over 14Mtpa, with a long life of mine. The Role
An opportunity exists at our open cut operation for a Shotfirer with a proactive attitude, strong work ethic and teamwork skills. Reporting to the Blast Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
    Ensuring safe and efficient blasting practices;
    Perform dipping, backfilling, loading and firing of blast holes while monitoring compliance with site procedures, environmental and government regulations;
    Monitor the mining environment, check post/drilling/blast areas to make sure safety regulations are met;
    Follow all site procedures, blast management plans and manage MMU time on bench performance.
    Conduct explosives magazine stock-takes.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have;
    Blasting Explosives User’s Licence and a Security Clearance Licence (only candidates with current licenses will be considered);
    Understanding of NSW Coal Mining & OH&S Statutory obligations;
    Previous shot firing experience in an open cut coal mine.
