Join ALS Coal – Mackay, QLD as a Casual and Full-time Coal Quality Tester!

About the Position:

We are seeking a suitably qualified Coal Quality Tester, as well as motivated individuals looking to transition into a career in analytical laboratory work. Successful candidates will bring the skills, attitude, drive, and passion needed to support our ongoing success in a global market.

An excellent opportunity is available for Casual and Full-time Coal Quality Testers to join the analytical laboratory at our Mackay Coal site, working day shift only with full training provided

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting a variety of coal testing methods.

  • Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment.

  • Validating results and ensuring they meet accuracy and repeatability standards.

  • Adhering strictly to Quality Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Prioritising safety and efficient turnaround of test results.

  • Maintaining a clean, well-organised lab and work area.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

  • Excellent communication and reliability.

  • Previous coal testing or laboratory experience (highly regarded).

  • A valid Driver’s Licence.
