The Newcastle Entertainment Centre is currently seeking interest from individuals with a flair for customer service to join the Casual Event Cleaning Team.

Our Presentation Services Team Members play an integral role in ensuring the immaculate presentation of the Centre across all scheduled events.

We are looking for team members who are;

• Experienced in working in a busy cleaning environment across a large venue or commercial cleaning operation;
• Previous team supervisory experience (preferred);
• Have the ability to work with large numbers of patrons congregated in the Centre’s public areas;
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team within a fast paced environment high level attention to detail and thorough cleaning standards;
• Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks;
• Excellent communication skills;
• A commitment to delivering high-quality work and exceptional customer service;
• Positive energy and physical fitness for a hands-on role;
• Health & Safety standards in relation to the handling of all equipment & chemicals;
• Repairs & Maintenance capabilities will be looked upon favorable/ but not essential.

The role:

• Assisting the Senior Cleaning Supervisor with supervisory responsibilities, including safety and operational tasks.
• Act as backup to the Senior Cleaning Supervisor when required
• The role will include keeping the site maintained to a standard as well as general cleaning of site and amenities, emptying bins, ensuring general tidiness. We have a set schedule of tasks to be completed prior to, during events and post events.
• Maintain all chemicals and equipment.
