Opal HealthCare is a private Australian aged care company that operates residential aged care “Care Communities” across multiple states. It focuses on long-term residential care, respite, dementia, palliative care and rehabilitation-style wellness programs for older Australians.

An Aged Care Worker helps elderly people with daily living, health support, and emotional care in nursing homes, retirement villages, or private homes.

Work Description of an Aged Care Worker

Typical duties include:

Assisting elderly people with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting

Helping with eating and meal preparation

Giving medication reminders

Supporting mobility (walking, wheelchair assistance)

Cleaning and maintaining a safe environment

Providing companionship and emotional support

Monitoring health changes and reporting to nurses

Assisting people with dementia or disabilities

Aged care workers may work in:

Residential aged care facilities

Home care services

Hospitals

Community care centers

Pay: $4,500.00 – $5,700.00 per month
