Full job description

Intake Officer manages the initial stages of client engagement, ensuring smooth and efficient onboarding into the NDIS system, including processing referrals, assessing eligibility, and providing initial information and support.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for new clients and their families/representatives.
  • Process referrals from various sources (e.g., My Aged Care, NDIS Service Provider Portal).
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of all intake information
  • Screen and assess potential clients to determine eligibility for NDIS support.
  • Provide clear and accurate information about the NDIS and its eligibility criteria.
  • Conduct initial needs assessments to understand client goals and support requirements.
  • Assist clients in developing or refining their NDIS plans, ensuring they are aligned with their needs and goals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records within the organization's systems.
  • Ensure compliance with NDIS guidelines and organizational policies
  • Provide clear and empathetic communication to clients and their families throughout the intake process.
  • Address client queries and concerns promptly and professionally.

Maintain and manage waitlists for NDIS services, ensuring timely communication with clients about capacity and wait times.
