About the Role

We are seeking caring, reliable, and passionate Aged Care Support Workers to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide high quality in-home support that promotes independence, wellbeing, and quality of life for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, and continence support.
  • Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and safe use of mobility aids.
  • Support clients with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and hydration.
  • Perform light domestic duties including cleaning, laundry, dishwashing, and maintaining a safe home environment.
  • Assist with grocery shopping and running essential errands.
  • Provide transport to appointments, social outings, and community activities.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support while encouraging social engagement.
  • Administer or assist with medications in accordance with company policies and qualifications.
  • Observe, monitor, and promptly report any changes in clients' physical, emotional, or mental wellbeing.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes.
  • Work collaboratively with Registered Nurses, Care Coordinators, allied health professionals, and family members.
  • Follow individual care plans and uphold all organisational policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to infection prevention and control practices and workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Maintain client privacy, dignity, confidentiality, and respect at all times.

Essential Requirements

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing), Aged Care, Disability, or equivalent.
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Full working rights in Australia.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Compassionate, professional, and client-centred approach to care.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in community aged care or residential aged care.
  • Experience supporting clients living with dementia.
  • Medication competency.
  • Manual handling experience.
  • Certificate in Dementia Care, Palliative Care, or similar qualifications.
