Full job description

We are recruiting an Experienced Disability Support Worker with extensive experience supporting NDIS participants who present with significant and complex support needs, including multifaceted medical, behavioral, and psychosocial challenges.

Applicants must be capable of working within a high‑risk, high‑responsibility environment where clinical awareness, behavioral insight, and professional maturity, delivered in line with established plans and best‑practice frameworks.

This role is suited only to workers who are experienced, confident, and skilled in complex care, and who can maintain stability, safety, calmness and dignity in dynamic situations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver advanced, person‑centered support aligned with complex behavioral, medical, and daily‑living needs.
  • Implement behavior support plans, clinical care plans, and risk‑mitigation strategies.
  • Provide high‑quality personal care and routine support.
  • Apply expert‑level de‑escalation and positive behavior support strategies.
  • Support community access and structured engagement in a safe, therapeutic manner.
  • Maintain detailed documentation, incident reporting, and professional communication.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clinicians, and allied health professionals.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience supporting individuals with complex needs and behaviors of concern.
  • Current First Aid & CPR.
  • Valid WWCC and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Full, unrestricted driver’s license.
  • Reliable, roadworthy vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
  • Strong clinical awareness, behavioral insight, and advanced communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm, analytical, and professional in unpredictable or high‑pressure environments.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Disability, Community Services, Mental Health, or related field.
  • Training in Positive Behaviour Support, trauma‑informed practice, or restrictive practice awareness.
  • Experience with high‑intensity supports.

Pay: $43.23 – $73.00 per hour
