VeiraMal Consulting is seeking an experienced Computer Network and Systems Engineer to join our business in Melbourne. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who can work well in a team, with strong communication and technical problem-solving skills.

We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Computer Network and Systems Engineer to join our growing team. The successful applicant will be responsible for planning, developing, deploying, testing, and optimising computer network and systems services to support business operations. This role requires strong technical knowledge, analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network and systems issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, deploy, test, and optimise computer network and systems services.
  • Design, configure, maintain, and administer network, server, workstation, and systems infrastructure.
  • Analyse system architecture specifications, technical requirements, data models, and technical diagrams.
  • Monitor network and systems performance, capacity, activity, and usage to ensure optimal operation.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex network, systems, connectivity, and infrastructure issues.
  • Configure and maintain network and systems environments to ensure operational readiness and reliability.
  • Install, configure, test, maintain, and administer new and upgraded network and systems infrastructure.
  • Assess network and systems operations and recommend improvements to hardware, software, communications, and operating systems.
  • Support the integration of hardware, software, communications systems, and operating environments.
  • Maintain accurate system configurations, technical documentation, network diagrams, and maintenance records.
  • Identify system performance issues and implement appropriate corrective and preventative solutions.
  • Assist with the implementation and testing of network and systems upgrades and enhancements.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies and recommend suitable solutions to improve business operations.
  • Provide technical advice and support to management and internal stakeholders regarding computer and systems requirements.
  • Liaise with technology vendors, suppliers, and external service providers to resolve technical issues and support ICT requirements.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant experience in a Computer and Systems Engineer, Network Engineer, Systems Engineer, or equivalent role.
  • Strong knowledge of computer networks, systems infrastructure, operating systems, and communications technologies.
  • Experience in network and systems configuration, deployment, testing, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to analyse technical requirements, system specifications, and network infrastructure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • High level of attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

Remuneration: $110,000.00 + Super
