ONSITE COMPUTER / NETWORK TECHNICIAN

You need to be highly motivated and dedicated. You will need to show initiative and take pride in your work. Excellent listening skills, written and verbal communication skills are essential. To be a successful applicant, you will have great time management skills and will be able to work under pressure to strict deadlines. You will be very professional in your presentation and manner and place a very high priority on customer service and satisfaction.

Duties will include:

  • Provide technical support to our service level agreement clients both on-site and remotely;
  • Server maintenance;
  • Network installations onsite;
  • Install and configure Microsoft Operating Systems and related software;
  • Install and configure software and hardware components to suit customers needs;
  • Testing of components to determine faults;
  • Complete repairs to computers as requested;
  • Repair systems both in-house and on site;
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest technology;
  • Some heavy lifting will be required.

Skills and qualifications for this role:

  • Install, configure and maintain Server and PCs, networking equipment and network operating systems;
  • VM and/or Hyper-V installation and maintenance experience preferred.
  • Monitor and configure networks to optimise performance and resolve faults;
  • Provide operational support for and management of computer networks to ensure they run efficiently;
  • Highly motivated and dedicated with strong work ethics;
  • Exceptionally well skilled in customer relations and high emphasis on customer service;
  • Demonstrated high level of communication skills including listening, written and verbal skills;
  • Current Market / Product knowledge;
  • High level knowledge in MS Windows Operating Systems and related software;
  • Highly organised;
  • Able to work under pressure to strict deadlines;
  • Professional presentation and manner;
  • Genuine interest in Computers, peripherals, software and new technology;
  • Relevant industry qualifications such as Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) is desirable but not essential.

Please note only candidate's with a minimum 2 years experience and who are an Australian resident will be considered for the position.

Hours: 9am to 5:30pm Monday - Friday. - Some after hours work will be required.
