Full job description

As a Ranger, you will provide operational leadership and support the delivery of park management programs across Queensland's protected areas.

You will supervise and mentor ranger teams, coordinate projects, and contribute to activities such as pest and weed control, fire management, visitor and asset management, infrastructure maintenance, compliance, emergency response and conservation initiatives. The role also involves working with stakeholders, including local communities, Traditional Owners, neighbouring landholders and government agencies, as well as completing administrative, budgeting and reporting responsibilities.

We're looking for a motivated and organised team leader who can build positive relationships, communicate effectively and work both independently and collaboratively.

Experience leading teams, managing projects, supporting safe work practices and delivering operational outcomes in outdoor or land management environments will be highly regarded. You must hold a current unrestricted manual driver's licence and be physically capable of working in remote and challenging field conditions, including tropical heat and rugged terrain.

Everyone is welcome to apply, and we encourage applications from people of all backgrounds. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants who meet the minimum requirements will be given priority consideration.

Applications will remain current for 12 months. This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Australia License.
