Looking to build your career while completing your Construction Management degree?
Ahren's is seeking a motivated Construction Cadet or Construction Graduate to join our team in Dandenong, VIC . Whether you're currently completing a Construction Management or related degree and looking for a part-time cadetship, or you've recently graduated and are ready to commence your career in a full-time graduate role, this is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working alongside experienced construction professionals.
This is an outstanding opportunity to apply what you're learning in the classroom to real commercial fit out and refurbishment projects, working alongside experienced Project Managers and Site Supervisors who are committed to mentoring and developing the next generation of construction professionals.
About the Role
You'll support the delivery of commercial fit out and refurbishment projects from planning through to completion, whilst gaining practical experience across the full project lifecycle estimating, project coordination, contract administration, procurement, site management and client liaison, building the skills and confidence needed for a successful career in project management.
Hours will be flexible around your university timetable, making this an ideal opportunity for students in the final years of their Construction Management, Building or related degree.
Your Responsibilities

Assist Estimator with tendering of commercial fit out and refurbishment projects.

Assist Project Managers with the coordination and delivery of commercial fit out and refurbishment projects.

Support procurement, contract administration and project documentation.
-
Attend project sites to monitor and support team in progress, quality and safety.

Assist with project scheduling, reporting and cost tracking.
-
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and consultants.
-
Participate in site meetings and prepare meeting minutes and action items.

Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with company procedures.
About You
-
Currently studying or recently completed a Bachelor of Construction Management, Building, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

Availability to work part-time while completing your studies.

A genuine interest in commercial fit out and refurbishment projects.

Strong organisational and communication skills.
-
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
-
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

A valid Driver's Licence.

Construction White Card
