Rugby World Cup Australia (RWCA) is proud to deliver one of the world’s most iconic sporting events — the Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027. More than a tournament, it’s a celebration of Rugby’s spirit, Australia’s culture, and the power of sport to unite and inspire communities around the world.
About the role
Rugby World Cup Australia is excited to offer an opportunity for an Accreditation Client Manager based in our Sydney office and reporting directly to the Senior Accreditation Manager. As the Accreditation Client Manager, you are responsible for ensuring a seamless, efficient, and client-focused accreditation experience for a wide range of stakeholders, including workforce, media, broadcast, teams, and partners. You will act as the central point of contact for accreditation, managing stakeholder relationships, overseeing application processes, and ensuring the highest standards of data accuracy, compliance, and service delivery. Leading a small team, you will deliver training, guidance, and operational support while driving strong engagement and accountability across all client groups.
The role also includes ownership of Access Rights Matrix and pass production management, ensuring all stakeholders have the appropriate access to perform their role. Collaboration with government agencies to support background checks and visa processes for applicants will be key to ensuring the end-to-end accreditation application process is seamless for all. With a strong focus on reporting, risk management, and continuous improvement, you will play a critical role in ensuring operational readiness and a world-class tournament experience. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-driven professional with strong stakeholder management, leadership capability, and proven experience delivering accreditation for large-scale events
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of accreditation services across all client groups, ensuring a high-quality, consistent, and client-focused experience
- Oversee accreditation applications, including data collection and approval workflows, to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient processing
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, acting as the primary escalation and support point for all accredited groups
- Track application progress and deliver regular reporting and insights to support planning, risk management, and operational readiness
- Develop and deliver training, guidance, and support materials to ensure clear understanding of accreditation processes, requirements, and timelines
- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing accreditation client services team, supporting both application processing and Venue Accreditation Centre operations
- Own and manage the Access Matrix, Upgrade Pass processes, and compliance requirements (including AusCheck and visa support), while identifying risks and driving continuous improvement in service delivery
Qualifications & Experience
-
- 4–5+ years’ experience in sport or major event accreditation, including delivery at scale
- Proven experience managing end-to-end accreditation processes
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with confidence engaging and presenting to diverse audiences
- Strong project management capability, with experience planning and delivering to tight deadlines
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage high volumes of work and competing priorities with high attention to detail, strong documentation, reporting, and risk management discipline
- Experience leading and developing teams in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement processes, policies, procedures and user guides.
- Experience using accreditation or tournament systems in multi-user environments, with strong system literacy to manage applications, data, and workflows effectively
- Ability to generate, analyse, and present reports, including live dashboards and regular operational reporting
- Experience managing shared inboxes and handling high-volume enquiries
Desirable:
- Understanding of venue zoning and access planning
- Experience supporting accreditation centre operations, including technology setup and testing
Why You’ll Love It Here
- Competitive salary: We know world-class talent deserves to be rewarded.
- Hybrid game plan: Work from home on Mondays and Fridays, with a 3-day in-office schedule (Tues–Thu), moving to full-time in-office in 2027 as the tournament approaches.
- Unbeatable location: A modern space across from Sydney’s Hyde Park , just a 5-minute walk from Town Hall , surrounded by public transport, great cafes, restaurants, and shops.
- Wellbeing first: Weekly fresh fruit, Lunch & Learns and a focus on keeping our team feeling their best on and off the field.
- Locker-room ready: Showers, fresh towels, and Dyson hair tools so you can reset and refresh any time.
- Team spirit: Weekly drinks and social catchups that celebrate wins big and small.
- Make your mark: Play a key role in bringing the third largest sporting event in the world to life right here in Australia
