Full job description
Architect / Interior Designer (Mid-Level)
Melbourne-based | Start Early New Year
Summary
We are seeking a locally experienced Architect or Interior Designer to join our Melbourne studio.
This role suits someone who understands that good design must be delivered correctly, efficiently, and on time.
The role provides good hands-on experience from concept to construction, including site and contract administration exposure, and suitable with the following experience:
- Meeting project deadlines with high communication approach
- Completing tasks thoroughly and accurately
- Understanding the cost and programme impact of your work
- Learning continuously across all project stages
Local Melbourne (or Australian) experience is essential.
Applications without local experience may not be progressed.
About the Role
We work across commercial and residential projects, including smaller-scale workplace and feasibility projects with shorter timeframes.
You will be involved in:
- Concept design and feasibility studies
- Design development and coordination
- Detailed documentation
- Authority submissions
- Contract administration and site attendance
This is an end-to-end role, not a siloed position, it requires individual to be collaborative & confident communicator.
Software & Workflow
Our studio currently uses:
- Revit – primary documentation platform
- Enscape – design communication and reviews (the studio also has access to AI tools to be utilised)
- Rhino – concept and design development
- Exploring AI tools to improve efficiency and workflows
You should be comfortable working across multiple tools and adapting as workflows evolve.
Other software experience would be useful Twin Motion, Blender and D5.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven local Melbourne / Australian experience
- Strong Revit documentation capability
- Understanding of Australian construction and standards
- Ability to manage time, priorities, and deadlines
- Professional communication with consultants and builders
This Role Will Suit You If You:
- Take ownership of your work and finish tasks properly
- Respect deadlines and project budgets
- Want exposure to site and construction stages
- Prefer responsibility and learning over narrow roles
This is not a purely conceptual design role.
What We Offer
- Full project lifecycle exposure
- Genuine site and contract administration experience
- Direct access to decision-making
- Opportunity to grow with a studio looking to expand
Send us your CV, a brief description of yourself and contact details.
Please note - Local / Melbourne based application only with local experience.
