Senior Civil Project Engineer
Location: Bowen Basin
Roster: Monday to Friday (occasional night shift during peak phases)
Travel Options: DIDO/FIFO/LOCAL

Role Overview

Chandler Macleod is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Project Engineer to join a major civil infrastructure project in the Bowen Basin. You will play a key role in airport-related works, including pavements, drainage, and airside facilities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to high-quality standards. You will collaborate with contractors, regulatory bodies, and internal teams to achieve successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead civil engineering activities from planning through execution.
  • Develop scopes, QA processes, and schedules to meet cost, quality, and timeline targets.
  • Provide technical oversight of airfield pavements, drainage, and related works.
  • Liaise with contractors, councils, and regulatory authorities.
  • Support procurement, commercial management, and change control.
  • Assist with night-shift operations when required.
About You

  • Civil Engineering degree (RPEQ preferred)
  • 10+ years’ experience in civil project delivery (mining, construction, or airport infrastructure)
  • Expertise in airfield pavement and drainage design
  • Strong commercial and contract management skills
  • Proven ability to lead onsite teams safely and efficiently
  • Familiarity with project management, risk, and procurement systems (preferred)
  • Flexibility for night shifts or weekend work when needed
