Chef / Experienced Cook – Dinner Service | Thursday to Sunday

We are looking for an experienced Chef or Cook to join our evening restaurant team in Bronte Beach.

Our restaurant operates for dinner Thursday to Sunday, with preparation completed either the morning of service or the day before, depending on the menu and workload.

The menu is Italian-inspired and includes fresh pasta, slow-cooked meats, seafood, sides and desserts. We are looking for someone who is organised, reliable and confident handling both preparation and a busy dinner service.

The role includes:

  • Dinner service Thursday to Sunday
  • Completing kitchen prep either the morning of service or the day before
  • Mise en place and preparation for upcoming services
  • Preparing pasta, sauces, meats, seafood and sides
  • Running a section confidently during dinner service
  • Maintaining consistent food quality and presentation
  • Portion control and reducing food waste
  • Stock rotation and kitchen organisation
  • Maintaining high food-safety and cleanliness standards
  • Working closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team
  • Closing and preparing the kitchen for the following service

Typical schedule may include:

  • Morning/daytime prep as required
  • Thursday–Sunday dinner service
  • Some Wednesday preparation where required
  • Approximately 30–38 hours per week, depending on experience and responsibilities

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has previous restaurant or commercial kitchen experience
  • Is confident with Italian-style food, pasta and meat preparation
  • Can organise prep independently
  • Can handle busy Friday and Saturday night services
  • Is reliable and available Thursday through Sunday
  • Is comfortable completing prep ahead of service
  • Has Australian working rights
