We are seeking a reliable and experienced Café Cook / All-Rounder to manage our small kitchen operations at Piccolo Me Macquarie Hospital while also assisting with general café duties. This role suits someone who enjoys a hands-on environment and can confidently prepare quality food while supporting the front of house when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take full responsibility for daily kitchen operations
• Prepare sandwiches, breakfast, and lunch items
• Handle food preparation and catering orders
• Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen
• Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are met
• Complete daily prep and stock rotation
• Assist with other café tasks as required, including:
• Taking customer orders
• Making coffee and drinks
• General customer service support

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a cook in a café or similar setting
• Ability to work independently and manage kitchen workflow
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
• Food Safety Supervisor certification is a plus
• Basic barista skills or willingness to learn
• Reliable, organized, and team-oriented
• Good communication and time management skills
