Full job description

We are looking for a creative and reliable casual writer to produce engaging, SEO-friendly blog content for Silver Cross Australia. Topics will include pregnancy, preparing for a new baby, parenting, pram buying guides, lifestyle and Silver Cross products.

The role would suit a university student studying journalism, marketing or communications. Applicants should have excellent writing and grammar, strong attention to detail and a strong understanding of SEO. Canva or social media experience is desirable.

Professional experience is not essential. Flexible hours are available, with work assigned according to our content schedule.

To be considered for this role, please submit:

  • Your résumé
  • Two examples of your writing, including at least one blog, website article or SEO-focused piece
  • Three suggested blog titles for Silver Cross Australia, including the target SEO keyword for each
  • A brief explanation of why your writing style would suit a premium baby brand
  • Your weekly availability and relevant SEO experience

University assignments, personal blogs and published work are all welcome, provided they demonstrate strong writing ability.

Applications that do not include the requested information may not be considered.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to complete a paid 500-word Silver Cross writing task. The task will be paid at the advertised rate of $40 per hour and will be used for assessment purposes only.

Pay: $40.00 – $50.00 per hour
