Corrosion Engineer

We’re on the lookout for a driven and forward-thinking Corrosion Engineer to join our dynamic Remedial team. If you’re passionate about extending asset life, solving complex engineering challenges, and making a real impact on infrastructure performance this is your opportunity.
In this role, you won’t just manage corrosion, you’ll lead innovative solutions, influence critical decisions, and contribute to the durability and sustainability of major projects. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative environment that values expertise, creativity, and continuous improvement.
Reporting to the National Engineering Manager, you’ll be empowered to take ownership and drive meaningful outcomes.
What You’ll Be Doing

Designing and implementing cutting-edge corrosion management strategies

Leading hands-on inspections, testing programs, and technical investigations

Getting hands-on experience in cathodic protection testing, monitoring, installation and design.

Working in a supportive and collaborative engineering team environment.

Diagnosing corrosion mechanisms and delivering smart, practical solutions

Working with

Advising on material selection and advanced protection systems

Partnering with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance and project success

Building trusted relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies

Producing high-quality technical reports and specifications
-
Championing best practice through training and knowledge sharing

Monitoring system performance and continuously improving protection strategies
-
Staying ahead of the curve with emerging technologies and innovations

Contributing to project planning, reporting, and forecasting
What You’ll Bring
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Corrosion Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or similar
-
Construction White Card
-
NACE or equivalent corrosion certification (highly regarded)
Experience & Skills
-
At least 5 years of hands-on experience in corrosion-focused engineering roles
-
Strong expertise in corrosion mechanisms, materials, and protection techniques
-
Proven ability to solve complex technical challenges and deliver results
-
Experience working within Australian Standards and regulatory requirements
-
Confident communicator who builds strong, lasting relationships
