Who You Are:

We are looking for an "A-Player" creative Writer for our Minecraft YouTube videos; Someone who understands the target demographic (8-15 years old), who can keep the audience engaged and hooked, whilst understanding the possibilities and limitations of Minecraft; with content that is relevant and up to date with the latest trends in Children’s pop-culture.

Your Responsibilities and Skills:

• Storyboard Writing: Craft entertaining and engaging Minecraft video storyboards featuring 2 or more characters, blending competitiveness with positive social, creative, and academic skills and values.
• YouTube Metrics Analysis: Analyze key YouTube metrics and analytics, including AVD, CTR, Impressions, AVP, etc., to identify successful content elements and areas for improvement, informing storyboard development strategies.
• Competitor Analysis and Strategy Implementation: Study and replicate successful content storylines, styles, and strategies from competitors, integrating effective approaches into storyboard creation to enhance audience engagement.
• Feedback Implementation: Effectively incorporate and adapt to feedback from supervisors into storyboard writing processes, ensuring alignment with project objectives and vision.
• Understanding of Script Elements: Utilize key elements of successful YouTube scripts, including Core Objective, Hook, Context, Twists, etc., to structure compelling narratives that captivate viewers' attention.
• Direction for Production Team: Provide clear directions for Set Designers, Animators, Editors, and Actors through scripts and storyboards, guiding them to bring the envisioned content to life effectively.
• Deadline Management and Organization: Adhere to project deadlines and maintain organizational systems to ensure timely completion of storyboard tasks, facilitating smooth project progression.
• Meeting Participation: Participate in meetings to discuss storyboard progress, provide updates, and collaborate with team members to refine ideas and address any concerns or challenges.
• Integration of Children's Trends and Pop-Culture: Incorporate current children's trends and pop-culture references into the writing, ensuring relevance and engagement with the target audience.

Requirements:

• At least 2+ years of writing
• Experience and understanding in YouTube Analytics and key metrics (AVD, CTR, Impressions, etc)
• Great communication and activeness.
• Ability to meet and understand deadlines.
• Ability to understand feedback and act on it.
• Knowledge and understanding of Minecraft, social media and pop-culture trends.
• Basic experience and understanding of Minecraft mechanics and Minecraft modding.
• Preferable Additional Skills
• 2+ years of experience writing Minecraft YouTube videos
• Worked with major competitors in this age demographic previously (Prestonplayz, Craftee/LogDotZip, Bionic, xNestorio, Quiff, Donibobes, etc)
• Experience in other Minecraft/YouTube industry-specific roles (Builder, Editor, Animator, Actor, etc)
