THE OPPORTUNITY

This is an exciting opportunity to build and apply your cyber governance, compliance and risk expertise in a role with real organisational impact. As part of the Enterprise Security and Risk Management Division, you’ll contribute directly to the WA Police Force’s cyber resilience by supporting assurance, audit and compliance activities across critical ICT systems and service providers.

The role offers exposure to complex and meaningful work, collaboration with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, and the chance to influence how cyber security standards and frameworks are embedded across the organisation. If you’re looking to develop your career in cyber governance within a large, purpose‑driven environment, this role provides both challenge and opportunity.

THE ROLE

As the Coordinator Cyber Governance, you’ll support and coordinate cyber security compliance programs, including audits, monitoring and reporting against government standards and contractual obligations. You’ll work closely with vendors and internal teams to identify and address compliance gaps, maintain registers and remediation tracking, and prepare clear, insightful reports and dashboards for senior leadership and governance committees.

You’ll also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, policy and framework development, and the delivery of cyber security training material. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys analysing information, improving processes and working collaboratively to strengthen governance and assurance outcomes.
