DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR — PERTH CBD

THE EMPLOYER

THE REWARD

$104,000 base salary per year + superannuation | Full-Time, Permanent Position

THE CORE TASK

We need a focused Database Administrator to maximize the uptime, security, and execution speed of our production database environments. You will be the sole guardian of our data integrity, keeping query speeds fast and data architectures tightly locked down.

DAILY ACTIONS

  • Install, configure, and maintain high-availability enterprise database environments.
  • Actively tune queries, optimize indexes, and resolve engine bottlenecks to ensure peak speed.
  • Design, test, and execute bulletproof automated backup, recovery, and failover procedures.
  • Monitor storage capacities, allocate system resources, and plan infrastructure growth.
  • Enforce strict database security protocols and access controls to protect sensitive corporate assets.

MINIMUM PROFILE

  • 3+ years working as a dedicated DBA in a high-transaction corporate environment.
  • Advanced technical mastery of Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle Database systems.
  • Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) to automate routine maintenance tasks.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot critical live system out-of-memory or locking incidents under pressure.
  • You must possess full, unrestricted legal working rights inside Australia to apply.
