Join our Macquarie’s Banking and Financial Services Data Governance team focusing on the refinement and delivery of Macquarie’s data management frameworks and standards to meet our regulatory obligations and drive business value via fit-for-purpose data.

What role will you play?


You will be responsible for applying data governance and management practices across Banking and Financial Services, supporting key programmes of work. This will involve building and maintaining strong partnerships with a broad range of business and technical stakeholders to implement effective governance, risk and control frameworks. In this role, you will monitor data risk practices to ensure activities meet required standards, and develop, implement and track reporting mechanisms for data governance. You will collaborate with stakeholders to understand and document end-to-end data flows across the business, as well as identify associated risks and controls, highlighting gaps and opportunities for improvement. You will also facilitate workshops with stakeholders at varying levels to review process flows and control assessments, complete data risk assessments for relevant initiatives, and coordinate reviews and audits with key stakeholders and subject matter experts.

What you offer


  • 4 + years in data risk/controls/governance experience in an enterprise environment
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to critically evaluate data risk and controls
  • Experience supporting the uplift of governance and controls capability in an enterprise and environment
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles, practices and tools
  • Exceptional communication skills with stakeholders at all levels
  • Agile mindset and ability to work in a structured and unstructured environment.
