As our Postie based in Coorparoo, you’ll be operating and delivering on our 3-Wheeled Electric Delivery Vehicles as the face of our trusted business, at the heart of your community and connecting Australians every single day.

You might not be working from home, but you’ll be working autonomously out on-the-road, interacting with others and being a team player and it doesn’t get better than that!


You’ll be

  • Starting your day early in the morning, sorting mail and small parcels with your teammates at the facility
  • Completing your own daily vehicle safety check
  • Loading your vehicle with your deliveries for the day
  • Delivering outdoors in all types of weather to deliver to homes and businesses
  • Paired up with our experienced Rider Mentors, who are committed to engage and take part in your professional development


About you

  • You hold a full or probationary QLD drivers licence with a good driving history
  • On employment, you’ll need to successfully pass our mandatory vehicle training and assessment
  • You are flexible with finishing times and working additional hours if required
  • You have a good memory, great hand/eye coordination, and excellent attention to detail for when sorting mail
  • You enjoy physical work indoors and outdoors and can lift up to 16kgs of Mail and Parcels regularly
  • You will need to meet our safe working vehicle load limit of weighing under 120kgs fully clothed (including helmet)

  • Pay rate for this role is $32.34ph for the first 3 months, then $36.99ph once fully trained plus 12% superannuation

Training and Support

At Australia Post, our training and induction programs offer support to ensure we set you up for success. You will attend an induction in your first week with our Learning and Development Team followed by a site-specific induction at your respective facility and additional online learning modules. As a new employee, you will receive one-on-one coaching, followed by regular check-ins with your Manager and Trainer to track progress, provide feedback, and discuss any support needed. We assess development at the end of each month during your probationary period, with adjustments or additional training as required. The program includes site-specific inductions and hands-on training, building employees up to full delivery capacity within six weeks. Our approach is flexible, with the option to swap coaches for fresh perspectives, ensuring long-term success and continuous growth.
