The role
We’re looking for a Product Designer to join our team here in Hobart. You’ll collaborate to deliver incredibly powerful tools through user friendly and intuitive user interfaces. Every aspect of our product design is meticulously thought through and iterated. Your approach to design will reflect this pursuit of excellence and relentless attention to detail.

This role sits within the Product team, and you’ll report directly to the CPO, Claire d’Este. You’ll work closely with the CEO, Co-Founder, and Chief Product Designer, James Cuda. You’ll also work with other designers in both the product and marketing departments as well as our software engineers.

You’ll bring a skill set which combines technical fluency in a range of software tools, a creative flair, an ability to ideate, and a drive to design industry-leading products. You’ll work directly on Procreate as it continues to evolve and our next generation products.

What you'll do.

  • Create and document processes and procedure
  • Build out our design system, workflow and component library
  • Maintain and build upon our existing design principles and language
  • Work with designers, engineers and creatives to produce work of the highest quality

  • Design a range of digital components that will improve design efficiency and allow designers to work within a consistent framework

Skills.

  • A background and significant experience in design. We appreciate a multi-disciplinary approach to design and value technical proficiency coupled with an ability to be creative, curious and playful. Your work will demonstrate how you have included elements of graphic design, motion design, and animation into the UX/UI of a range of digital products.
  • Creative flair and an inquisitive approach to design. Our aim is to engage, delight and spark joy in our users. Your work will sit squarely at the apex of functionality and aesthetics. You’ll be able to harness your technical proficiency, passion for design and a creative X-factor to execute a wide range of design deliverables.
  • A focus on detail and a desire to grow. It is important to us that you have a laser-like eye for detail and a hunger to learn. You’ll have the ability to collaborate with a diverse group of designers and engineers to produce pixel perfect work. Your ability to focus on the iteration and reiteration of high-fidelity prototypes alongside your colleagues will be crucial to your success in this role

  • Prepare and support the execution of key design projects
  • Become an integral and contributing part of the Product Design Team and ship product
We want to hear from you
Our recruitment process is made to provide you with opportunities for you to show us what you're capable of, instead of assessing you solely on your CV. We’d love to hear about how you see yourself contributing to Procreate in this role.
