Desktop Support Engineer - Sydney, Australia


We are seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to join our growing team and play a vital role in supporting enterprise IT operations. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, professional environment where your expertise will directly impact business continuity and user productivity


Working as a Desktop Support Engineer, you will deliver high-quality, end-user IT support to ensure the smooth operation of desktop systems, devices, and business applications. This role focuses on diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and basic network issues in a timely manner, minimizing downtime and enhancing user productivity.


Location & Schedule
This is an on-site role based in New South Wales, Australia, working Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
  • Perform some Smart Hands support for networking hardware.
  • Troubleshoot within Windows / iOS / Android OS support, software installations, and security updates.
  • Manage Active Directory tasks.
  • Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues (LAN, WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi).

What will you bring to ESP?

  • 2+ years of experience providing IT infrastructure support, including hardware, software, and operating system troubleshooting
  • Good command of Windows O/S
  • Microsoft Office 365 troubleshooting experience
  • Wireless networking knowledge
  • Understanding of network protocols, server hardware and configurations
  • Experience with Active Directory
  • Advantage: Basic knowledge of LAN-WAN setups and concepts
  • Must be open to work in a fixed term contract
