Job Description


Ready to be the technology professional behind every employee's screen? As a Desktop Support Technician, you will manage the complete lifecycle of end user computing devices from initial setup through to final disposal. You will also be a key collaborator with our TechBar and Service Desk teams, ensuring seamless support across the organisation. Here's what you'll be doing:

  • Prepare and deploy laptops with precision, imaging and configuring them to the required specifications
  • Welcome new team members by setting up their devices during induction, and assist departing colleagues by securely wiping their equipment
  • Maintain meticulous records of all hardware assets, ensuring complete visibility of inventory
  • Maintain a clean and organised build room as your operational centre, keeping it tidy, well stocked, and ready for action
  • Extend device lifecycles through repairs, warranty claims and lifecycle management
  • Ensure hardware is ready for redeployment to new users or responsible disposal in line with company policies
  • Collaborate with TechBar and Service Desk staff to prioritise hardware requests and coordinate device deployments that keep our teams running smoothly

Qualifications


Required:

  • Basic understanding of Windows and Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Familiarity with laptop imaging and deployment processes.
  • Knowledge and experience in laptop physical maintenance and upgrades
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Good customer service and communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience with Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, or similar endpoint management tools.
  • Knowledge of IT asset management practices.
  • Understanding of secure data destruction standards.
  • Experience supporting hardware lifecycle management.
