Full job description

As a Desktop Support Technician, you will play a key role in supporting technology deployment activities that enable project teams and business users to work effectively. You will provide hands-on technical support for desktop device rollouts, user migrations, troubleshooting, and onboarding activities while ensuring a seamless transition to modern workplace technologies.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the deployment of Modern Desktop devices, including device builds, application installation, user migration, and troubleshooting.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and peripheral issues to minimise disruption during deployment.
  • Coordinate device replacements and onboarding activities with project teams, service desk staff, and business stakeholders.
  • Provide end-user support, including floor-walking, guidance, and issue resolution during rollout activities.
  • Assist with testing, validation, and documentation to support successful deployment and transition to operations.

Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience providing desktop, technical support, or device deployment services.
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, operating system, and peripheral issues.
  • Ability to deliver excellent customer service and provide effective end-user support.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work effectively within established processes while maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team to achieve project outcomes.
