Onyx Tyres & Auto Parts is a trusted distributor in the Australian tyre industry, operating since 1999. With branches in Brisbane and Melbourne, we supply a wide range of passenger, 4×4, and commercial truck tyres sourced directly from reputable manufacturers. Our streamlined supply chain, competitive wholesale pricing, and commitment to reliable service make us a preferred partner for tyre retailers, workshops, and fleet operators across Australia.

We are currently seeking an experienced Developer Programmer to join our team. The Developer Programmer position plays a key role in supporting and maintaining the daily operations of our business. The role is responsible for the maintenance, upgrade, troubleshooting, and further development of the company’s internal software systems used for inventory management, sales processing, customer orders, and other operational functions.

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Writing, maintaining and developing a B2B web-based software application that integrates a number of third-party applications, providing end users with an intuitive and user-friendly interface.

· Gathering, recording and analysing system requirements, and defining potential issues or limitations.

· Assisting with project management to implement measures.

· Establishing test plans and testing programs within established quality standards.

· Debugging and correcting errors in programming codes to realise the targeted specifications of programs and applications.

· Consulting system users to gather specific requirements, evaluating needs, and defining system functionality.

· Identifying key areas of opportunity to improve coding, system performance, and limitations in existing systems and associated processes.

· Working in a team to develop ideas and strategies to maintain and further develop the company’s software systems.

· Liaising and coordinating with contractors in milestone projects.

· Ensuring compliance with coding standards, system security requirements, and professional programming practices.

Required Qualification and Experience

· At least 3 years’ work experience as a Developer Programmer/Software Engineer.

· Bachelor’s degree or above in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Required Knowledge and Skills

· Proficiency in English.

· Excellent communication skills.

· Proficiency in programming languages including PHP, Java and Swift programming languages.

· Up-to-date knowledge about IT technologies and their applications.

· Good understanding of end-user requirements.

· Attention to detail.

Good time management skills.

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
