• Overview of Position

Responsible for designing, developing, testing and maintaining software applications and eCommerce functionality for INJ GLOBAL PTY LTD’s existing online stores and new eCommerce websites, supporting the retail and wholesale sale of Australian-branded and Australian-made products to customers in Australia and Korea. The role involves translating business requirements for online ordering, inventory reconciliation, shipment preparation, customs clearance data and sales reporting into technical specifications and working software. Responsibilities also include developing and maintaining integrations between sales channels, supplier systems and operational systems, resolving software defects, and implementing ongoing improvements to the functionality and reliability of existing and new platforms as business requirements change.

Key Tasks

· Designing, developing, customizing and maintaining eCommerce functionality and software applications supporting the company’s retail and wholesale operations.

· Developing new eCommerce websites and enhancing existing online sales platforms by writing, testing and maintaining application code for product listings, product selection, shopping cart, checkout and retail and wholesale order processing.

· Interpreting business requirements, supplier API specifications and process flow charts, preparing technical specifications, and writing, testing and debugging code to implement approved functionality.

· Collaborating with management and relevant personnel to identify operational requirements and translate order processing, inventory and shipment workflows into software solutions.

· Developing and maintaining software interfaces to transfer and reconcile order, payment and inventory data between sales channels and operational systems, including API integrations to retrieve product and stock information from suppliers.

· Developing and maintaining integrations with Korean payment systems, delivery APIs and platforms such as Kakao and Naver, including implementing data validation and error handling to support secure and reliable transaction processing.

· Developing and maintaining database structures and validation rules to support accurate storage, retrieval and processing of customer, product, order and inventory information, including mapping supplier-specific product codes and processing stock quantities by colour and size, expected arrival dates and incoming stock quantities.

· Developing software routines to generate shipment preparation records, customs clearance data and sales reports from order and inventory information.

· Assessing existing platform functionality against business requirements and identifying where configuration, customization or additional software development is required.

· Improving customer ordering and order information functionality, ensuring compatibility with relevant browsers and mobile interfaces.

· Monitoring and testing applications and integrations to identify failed data transfers, duplicate records and inconsistencies in order or inventory data, and correcting the underlying software defects.

· Optimizing application code, database queries and integration routines to maintain reliable performance as transaction volumes and processing requirements change.

· Writing well-structured and maintainable code, maintaining version control, and preparing technical documentation for application logic, data mappings, interfaces and software changes.

· Undertaking unit, integration and regression testing and coordinating user acceptance testing before deploying new functionality or software changes.

· Maintaining and updating applications after deployment, including adapting integrations to changes in sales channels, supplier APIs, data formats and operational workflows.

· Reviewing recurring software issues and new business requirements, estimating development effort, and implementing ongoing enhancements in consultation with management.

· Providing continuous support by maintaining and updating applications and integrations, resolving software defects, and adapting code to changes in supplier APIs, sales channels and operational requirements.

· Providing advice and guidance to management on continual improvement and technical issues, including recommending software enhancements, assessing integration options and estimating the development effort required for proposed changes.

Required Qualification & Experience and Skills

Academic Qualification

· Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science or another related field or Bachelor’s degree or Associated degree in any discipline with at least 6 years relevant experience.

Work Experience

· 5+ years professional related experience.

· Proficient in and experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C#, JAVA.

· Programming experience using relevant languages.

· Experience with developing and managing system or websites.

· Experience with writing code and building and testing applications.

· Experience with database management systems.

Skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
