Nexus Airlines is actively seeking and experienced Cabin Crew Training Manager to join our team.

About the role

The Cabin Crew Training Manager is responsible for the training and development of company Cabin Crew. The role is responsible for cabin safety, cabin crew operating procedures and emergency procedures for aircrew.

Key duties and responsibilities of the role include:

• Performing crew legislated proficiency checks as well as recurrent training
• Management of crew training records
• Assisting the Cabin Crew Manager with various duties such as recruitment drives, development of staff
• Responsible for the cabin crew training and checking program and associated manuals and documentation, as well as the aircrew emergency procedures program
• In consultation with the Cabin Crew Manager, responsible for the modifications of training pathways for cabin crew
• Management of standards, remedial training and cabin crew training and checking
• Maintaining standards of all standards and procedures to ensure compliance with CASA regulations
• Analysing regulatory and industry material including cabin safety bulletins and legislation, to ensure Company cabin safety programs meet all regulatory requirements and industry best practice
• Supporting CASA and other regulatory surveillance and audit processes
• Compiling responses to safety observations or findings as they relate to cabin crew operations and safety
• Ensure training, emergency and safety equipment are suitable for training type and maintained to the required standard

You will need to enjoy working with people from all walks of life and have a genuine interest in wanting to make our customers experience with us and enjoyable one. A natural passion for people, ability to remain composed and calm under pressure, and be resilient in unforeseen circumstances is essential as well as the following:

• Experience as an emergency and survival equipment assessor for Cabin Crew
• Previous or current experience in Cabin Crew training and facilitation
• Current Senior First Aid Certificate with CPR and 12-month validity
• Maintain a high level of grooming and personal presentation
• Ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification card (ASIC)
• Hold a current motor vehicle driver’s license
• Valid passport with minimum 18 months validity
