Full job description

Work on various heavy plant and equipment including Excavators, Truck mounted EWPs, HC, MR, LR, Tractors, Chippers, Mowers. Our workshop supports Summit Open Space Services as a leading provider of Vegetation Management.

Summit has several apprenticeship opportunities in our St Marys workshop, working across the extensive our fleet of vehicles, trucks and machinery.

In this role you will:

  • Extend your knowledge with a huge range of interesting vehicles and equipment.
  • Learn how to conduct services and repairs on machinery under supervision.
  • Report issues or additional work requirements to your supervisor for approval.
  • Communicate effectively with your supervisor regarding job progress and any challenges encountered.
  • Work on various machines from Truck Mounted EWP’s, Trucks, Chippers, Utes, Tractors, Commercial Mowers and grounds maintenance items with experienced and skilled qualified technicians.
  • Gain exposure to diagnose and repair faults on machinery.
  • Follow instructions given by supervisor.
    • Maintain workshop cleanliness.
