Full job description

Onsite Auto Pty Ltd is looking for a motivated Heavy Vehicle Apprentice Mechanic to join our growing team.

Based in our heavy vehicle workshop, you'll work alongside experienced diesel mechanics while gaining hands-on experience servicing and repairing a wide range of trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment. This is a great opportunity for someone who is eager to build a long-term career in the heavy vehicle industry.

About the Role

As an apprentice, you will assist with:

  • Servicing and maintaining heavy vehicles and trailers.
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults.
  • Brake, suspension, steering and driveline repairs.
  • Engine and transmission repairs.
  • Breakdown repairs and workshop maintenance.
  • Learning safe workshop practices and industry standards.
  • Keeping the workshop clean and organised.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A genuine interest in heavy vehicles and the automotive industry.
  • Current 1st or 2nd Year Heavy Vehicle Apprenticeship (or willingness to commence a 1st Year apprenticeship).
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • A current driver's licence (preferred).
