About CMI Hino

The Role
We are seeking motivated and reliable people to undertake a four-year apprenticeship at our Lonsdale site. In addition to your standard trade school training at TAFE, product specific training will also be provided in house. Starting with basic service and repair type work you would progress through your trade and at the end of four years become a fully qualified diesel mechanic.
We strongly encourage recent high school graduates or soon to graduate students to apply for this apprenticeship. This apprenticeship is viewed as a fantastic opportunity to kick-start your career in the motor industry.

Skills / Experience
  • If you have successfully completed Year 12 and/or have successfully completed Automotive VET studies this will be highly regarded.
  • Or if you have completed part of your Mechanical Certificate III and willing to recommence.
  • Good communication skills
  • Enjoy working on engines and want to know more
  • Hold a current drivers licence or in process of obtaining licence preferred.
