An exciting opportunity exists for a full-time permanent Clinical Dietitian position (Level 1/ at Ryde Hospital. Positions within Ryde Dietetics are appointed on the relevant grading, not to a specified clinical area. Ward allocation is based upon departmental need. 2x part-time job share arrangement may be considered.

Where you'll be working
The position is part of the Dietetics team at Ryde Hospital and assists with nutrition care across the acute, sub-acute (rehabilitation) wards and outpatients based on workload demand. In addition, the position is required to participate in the provision of the face to face weekend/public holiday Dietetic service on the Ryde Hospital campus (acute care and sub-acute care) for long weekends as rostered.


Ryde Hospital is having an incredible $479 million complete hospital redevelopment that will transform the delivery of healthcare for the Ryde local community.

The Ryde Hospital Redevelopment will result in new health facilities and enhanced services including emergency, ICU/critical care, inpatient units, outpatient/ambulatory care services and much more.

Construction commenced in early 2023, and will provide you with a wonderful and exciting opportunity to be part of the Ryde team to change the future health services for the Ryde Community completely.

What you'll be doing
The Clinical Dietitian provides a high-quality Nutrition and Dietetics service to allocated clinical areas. As a key member of the healthcare team, the Clinical Dietitian is an advocate for nutrition services. The Nutrition and Dietetics service provides a comprehensive range of nutrition services including inpatients, outpatients, and ambulatory care and community consumers according to endorsed standards of practice, policy and procedure.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor or post graduate degree in nutrition and dietetics that provides eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia.
  • Demonstrated well developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to use health information systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage workload demands, meet deadlines and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required).
