Radical Orange – Editor
Mid Level

Role: Part-Time / Full-Time
Location: Surry Hills
Salary: Based on experience

Radical Orange is expanding its production team and are looking for a new Editor who is excited to start in a full-time role. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most innovative international production companies.


Who do we want?

Someone who loves to edit and wants to tell great stories. Someone who wants to grow their post-production skills with us and grow with the company.


Who do we not want?

Someone who really just wants to direct or someone who only wants to shoot. This is a 100% editing position.


What will you be doing

Working on large campaigns for the world’s biggest brands and smaller campaigns for local companies. Always creating a quality story.

Editing content series, travel films, commercials, corporate films and the occasional hype reel

Maintaining the edit suites/server


What skills and experience do we need

General

A finished degree in a relevant field and 1-2 years experience editing corporate films, ads, online content or long-form content

Someone with Agency and/or Production Company experience. You know how to work in a professional environment and you know how our clients think and what they expect from us

Post-Production

Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and Photoshop on Mac

Some experience in Adobe After Effects on Mac

Experience in colour grading and DaVinci Resolve on Mac

Great attention to detail – you are a perfectionist!

Great technical knowledge. You know your codecs, how to transcode them and when to use them. You know the ins and outs of Premiere and its crazy ways

A good sense of design. You know how to place a super

The ability to think creatively and work independently. We could throw you a brief without a creative concept and you will apply your own creative treatment to the footage/assets

Ability to manage large amounts of footage. For example creating a 5 minute edit out of 10 hours of footage
