This role reports to the Digital Marketing Lead and works with internal stakeholders across Council to deliver campaigns, produce platform appropriate multimedia content and use performance insights to continually improve Council’s digital communications.
The Digital Marketing Officer plays an integral role in helping Council connect with the community through timely, accessible and engaging content.
Key responsibilities include:
- Plan and produce platform appropriate content, including video, photography and written content for social media and email newsletters.
- Work with internal partners to deliver digital marketing campaigns that are informed by customer insights, data, market trends and best-practice approaches.
- Write, edit and publish accessible digital content that provides a positive customer experience.

You will be a confident communicator with strong writing skills and the ability to build effective relationships throughout the organisation.
You will have the ability to use digital analytics to gather information and identify insights and moderate digital channels and manage online community interactions to deliver the best possible customer outcomes. You will also bring tertiary qualifications in marketing, media, communications or a related discipline, or relevant professional experience in a similar role.
