About the role

VMCH is recruiting for a Disability Support Workers to deliver high quality personalised care to our residents at our 10-bed supported accommodation house in Alphington. You will be required to always demonstrate professional and collaborative care. Our team is committed to empowering our clients through Person-Centred Active Support practice, you'll empower Clients to achieve their goals and demonstrate your contemporary disability support knowledge.

The roster line will be provided to shortlisted candidates

About you

You will be an experienced Disability Support Worker (DSW) providing personalized care and support to people with disabilities in a residential setting. You will be experienced working with ABI's and behavior's of concern. You will assist clients in achieving their goals and support them in their daily activities.

Skills and experience required

  • Certificate III in Individual Support or Certificate IV in Disability
  • Relevant experience in the disability sector
  • A passion for providing person-centred services.
  • Good knowledge of and respect for the rights and choices of clients and their families.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Current Victorian Driver's Licence.
  • Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate and CPR
  • Valid NDIS Worker Screening check and Working with Children’s Check for employment.
