Direct Care Australia is an Aged Care, Mental Health and Disability community support provider across South Australia.

We support people with both high and complex support needs.

About the Role

As a Support Worker at Direct Care Australia, you’ll provide day-to-day assistance to individuals with physical or intellectual disabilities, mental health conditions, or age-related care needs. This may include:

  • Personal care and domestic assistance
  • Medication administration
  • Transport and community access
  • Using hoists and other mobility equipment
  • Supporting clients with complex or challenging behaviours

What You’ll Need:

  • Cert III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or Aged Care
  • Experience in disability or aged care support
  • Excellent communication and case-noting skills
  • Ability to work across 7 days, including nights
  • Valid Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle
  • Comprehensive car insurance
  • Current First Aid, CPR, and Manual Handling certificates
  • WWCC & NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • National Criminal History Check
  • Smartphone (required for rostering and communication)
  • Registered/Enrolled Nurses also encouraged to apply

Activity: Domestic assistance, Respite, Social support and Personal care.

Locations: The successful must be able and willing to travel to multiple suburbs in Adelaide.

Shifts: Minimum 2-hour shifts across Monday to Sunday. Includes day, evening, passive and active overnight shifts.
