Full job description

Permanent Part Time Home Care Worker

If you want meaningful one-on-one client connections, the ability to make a real difference every day, and a role where no two days feel the same, but don’t want to be stuck in a facility, rushed through tasks, or treated like “just another support worker” then this permanent Home Care Support Worker role is for you.

We’re looking for someone who is compassionate, reliable, and confident working independently to help Santa Clara Home Care support seniors, empower people with disabilities, and deliver exceptional in-home care in Newcastle.

About The Role

  • Provide personalised in-home support, including daily living assistance, hygiene, personal care, social engagement, companionship, and emotional support.
  • Support clients with home-based tasks, such as cleaning, meal preparation, safety monitoring, grocery trips, appointments, errands, and recreational activities.
  • Deliver safe, high-quality care, including health monitoring, medication prompting, documentation, collaboration with families and health professionals, and identifying hazards to keep clients safe at home.

About You

  • Qualified and experienced, with Certificate III/IV in Ageing or Disability, police check, First Aid/CPR, NDIS screening (or willing to obtain), COVID-19 vaccination, and at least 1 year of relevant community or aged care experience.
  • Reliable, compassionate, and client-focused, with strong communication skills, good rapport-building, punctuality, and a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Flexible and travel-ready, with a NSW driver’s licence, insured vehicle, mobile phone, and the ability to travel up to 30 minutes for client visits across the Sydney

About Us

  • We help seniors and people with disabilities live safely and comfortably at home, where they feel secure, valued, and independent.
  • We value exceptional support workers, offering strong rewards, genuine appreciation, and a positive culture where great carers are recognised.
  • We reward great work with above-award pay, consistent hours, paid travel between shifts, and ongoing opportunities to increase your income as you grow with us.

If you’re looking for a role where your work is genuinely appreciated, your income is rewarded, and your impact is immediate, this is your moment to step in. At Santa Clara Home Care, you’re not just filling a shift, you’re becoming a trusted part of someone’s life, earning above-award pay, receiving paid travel between shifts, and joining a team that invests in your growth and values your heart for care. Opportunities like this don’t come often, especially in a region that’s expanding quickly. Apply now and secure a role where you feel valued, supported, and rewarded every single day.
