Qualifications & experience

Certificate III in Individual Support or Disability or minimum 1 year previous experience working in Disability

• NDIS worker screening & Working with Children Check
• Current drivers licence
• Current First Aid and CPR
• Applicants must have the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of technology used for rosters, recording progress notes, policies and procedures etc
• Empathy, patience and a genuine desire or passion for helping others
• Be very flexible with availability, working a variety of shifts throughout the day, including early morning, evening and weekend shifts

Tasks & responsibilities

• Support and assist participants to perform daily living tasks
• Support and assist participants to engage with their communities
• Support participants to develop their skills, abilities and confidence
• Build relationships with participants whilst maintaining professional boundaries at all times
• Promote and assist participants to live an active, healthy lifestyle
• Support clients to achieve their personal and NDIS goals
• Follow all policies and procedures and record daily progress reports for supports provided

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $35.15 – $77.81 per hour

Licence/Certification:

• First Aid Certification (Preferred)
• Working with Children Check (Preferred)
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (Preferred)
• National Police Certificate (Preferred)
• Driver Licence (Preferred)
