Full job description

We are looking for passionate support workers to join our team in supported independent living houses to provide services and activities that are centred around client's needs, interests, abilities, and choices under NDIS guidelines.

You must be available to work weekdays and weekends covering day and nights shifts (night shifts include sleepovers)

Main Tasks

· Follow clients care plans to provide support to meet their needs and achieve NDIS goals

· Supporting clients in a range of daily living tasks including personal care, hygiene, meal preparation, shopping, and laundry to name a few

· Accompanying participants on planned and chosen outings within the community and other recreational activities.

· Resourcing and/or creating meaningful and exciting activities.

· Medication management including administering, recording and ordering.

· Maintain progress notes, incident reports, daily records and other necessary documents.

· Perform domestic house tasks including cleaning, cooking, grocery shopping etc.

· Handling complex or challenging situations or behaviours calmly, professional and rationally.

· Work closely with Allied health professionals and other third parties to implement supporting strategies

The above list is not exhaustive and the role may change to meet the overall objectives of the company.

Required Qualities

· Professional approach

· Ability to work under pressure and work as a team

· Excellent attention to detail

· Have reliable transport with a valid driver’s license

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $35.00 – $77.33 per hour
