About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will be providing person-centred active support to people living with disability. Supported Independent Living (SIL) is supporting people with disability in shared housing or in their own home, providing various supports including personal care and daily living assistance.

We are currently looking to fill 1 permanent part-time position. You must be available for all shifts listed in the line:

Week 1

Monday 7am to 10am

Thursday 7am to 9am

Friday 7am to 3pm

Saturday 7am to 3pm

Week 2

Monday 3:30pm to 9am (sleepover)

Thursday 3pm to 9:30pm

Friday 3pm to 7am (sleepover)

Key Responsibilities

  • Support with daily living tasks including personal care and domestic assistance
  • Remain flexible and respond calmly to changing situations
  • Follow and adapt to behaviour support plans
  • Maintain a positive attitude and a good sense of humour to build genuine rapport
  • Promote client choice and independence in all interactions

Skills & Experience

  • An unrestricted New South Wales driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Demonstrated ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktop
  • A current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011

Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
