Disability Support Worker (Casual)

Wollongong NSW | Flexible Hours | Growing Organisation

Casual role
$38–$44 per hour (casual) + penalties + travel reimbursement

Hourly rates depend on experience and qualification (opportunities for rate increase where you gain experience and qualification)

About the Role

You’ll support participants in their homes and the community to build independence and confidence.

Your role may include:

  • Personal care, meal prep, and daily living support
  • Community access and social activities
  • Supporting routines, goals, and independence
  • Providing encouragement and meaningful engagement

About You

We’re looking for people who are:

  • Reliable and genuinely care about others
  • Positive, respectful, and easy to communicate with
  • Comfortable working independently (management are just a call away)
  • Interested in ongoing, consistent work (not just occasional shifts)

Requirements

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
  • Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willing to obtain
  • Current First Aid & CPR
  • Driver’s licence & reliable vehicle (with Comprehensive Insurance)
  • Right to work in Australia

Bonus (not essential - pathways to becoming qualified)

  • Certificate III/IV in Disability or Individual Support
  • Experience with mental health, behaviours of concern, or complex care

Education:

  • Certificate I - IV (Preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • First Aid Certification (Preferred)

  • Drivers Licence (Preferred)
  • National Police Check (Within 12 months) (Preferred)
  • Working with Children Check (Preferred)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (Preferred)
