DISABILITY SUPPORT WORKER

As a Disability Support Worker, you will be providing assistance to participants to enable them to live independently in their own home and access the community.

Support Services Best 4U provides services specifically designed to suit participants needs and therefore shifts are tailored accordingly.

We require reliable, trustworthy, good communicators who are committed to providing high quality, person-centred care to participants.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assisting with personal care
  • Enabling mobility, including moving & handling transfers, hoists, wheelchairs
  • Assistance with menu and meals
  • Assist participants to fulfil activities of daily living
  • Domestic assistance
  • Administration of medication
  • Support and assist with participants routine
  • Reporting & recording as per SSB4U procedures
  • Confident in driving larger vans with hoists
  • Knowledge and commitment to WH&S procedures

Essential (Or willing to obtain)

  • NDIS Worker Clearance
  • Working with Children Check
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • Comprehensive Car Insurance
  • Drivers licence

Preferred

  • Experience with personal care, complex care, manual handling including hoists, slings etc or willing to learn
