About the Role

We are seeking experienced, reliable, and trauma-informed Disability Support Workers to join our team. This role involves supporting NDIS participants with Autism Level 3, severe intellectual disabilities, complex mental health, and high-challenging behaviours (including physical aggression, property damage, absconding, and self-injury).

Support is delivered in home and community settings and may include 1:1 or 2:1 ratio supports.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred support using positive behaviour support strategies

• Assist with daily living skills: hygiene, meals, routines, household tasks

• Implement behaviour support plans and restrictive practice protocols safely and lawfully

• Support emotional regulation, communication, and community engagement

• Provide documentation, incident reporting, and shift notes

• Work collaboratively with families, allied health, and behaviour support practitioners

Required Experience & Skills – MUST HAVE

• Autism Level 3 / non-verbal individuals

• Severe to profound intellectual disability

• High behaviours of concern (physical, verbal, self-injury, absconding)

• Complex trauma and mental health conditions

• Regulated environments, behaviour support plans, and safety plans

Mandatory Checks & Requirements

• NDIS Worker Screening Check

• Working With Children Check

• Current First Aid + CPR

• NDIS Worker Orientation Module

• Full Australian Driver's Licence & reliable vehicle

• Ability to work shift work including afternoons, weekends, and sleepovers

Highly Regarded (Preferred)

• Cert III/IV Disability, Community, Aged Care, Individual Support

• Experience in SIL / Supported Accommodation

• MAPA / PMVA / PART / CPI or other safety-intervention training

• Mental Health qualification

• Lived experience supporting people with trauma
