Full job description

Apex Building Products is seeking a motivated and multi-talented Transport Coordinator to join our team! Reporting directly to the Transport Manager you will be planning our entire transport schedule, making sure loads are prepared and delivered on time and resources are used effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Planning daily runs for over 30 trucks, inhouse fleet and external contractors
  • Handling over length transports and loads requiring permits
  • Overseeing loading and planning function of the business

Skills & experience

  • The successful candidate will demonstrate the following criteria:
  • Several years of experience as Transport Coordinator/Load Planner, preferably for roofing and rainwater goods
  • Good knowledge of Victorian road network
  • Basic computer & Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to problem solve and adapt rapidly to customer/business demands
  • Excellent time management skills & communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a dynamic environment with a drive to meet strict daily deadlines
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
