Full job description

A typical day/week at Dog Crew:

  • Flexible hours for Pet Welfare shifts.
  • Handling, walking, feeding and, maintaining a clean environment for dogs at our Greystanes facility. This includes feeding dogs, changing water bowls, maintaining the property, playing with dogs and, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
  • You will be caring for, interacting with, exercising and, socialising with groups of up to 12 dogs at a time at our facility.
  • You will be taking photos and videos for dog training/boarding/walking progress with each dog so we can send it to the owners.
  • Client communications around pick up and drop off for Doggy Day Care and Boarding services.
  • Where needed, provide dog walks either on Monday, Wednesday or Friday. This includes; driving to different locations (between 8am-2pm) and walking one dog at a time to exercise (1 hour each). This will be occasional.
  • Ensuring walks are fun and interesting whilst providing safe handling and care of the dogs at all times.

What you need to join us as a Dog Walker & Pet welfare staff member?

  • Must be independant and reliable.
  • Must have experience in a similar role or, experience dealing, handling and caring for dogs. Experience is more than owning a pets. Experience can include previous employment or, volunteer work at dog pounds/shelters etc.
  • Must have a valid drivers licence and own transport.
  • You enjoy fitness and have the mental and physical stamina and resilience to deal with the challenge of balancing the responsibilities of this role.
  • Can work autonomously and are trusted to carry out services unsupervised by yourself with the dogs.
  • You are an excellent in time management and adaptable to change.
  • You are a fast learner, self-starter, responsible, reliable, have initiative and flexibility.
  • A friendly and positive individual, with a penchant for building solid and trustworthy relationships.
  • Are adaptable, able to act with confidence and, make quick decisions.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, a high level of customer service and communication when dealing with clients and staff.
  • A National Police Check or willingness to obtain one.
  • You can commit to the role for a minimum of 6-12 months or longer.

Pay: $30.35 – $60.70 per hour
