Are you passionate about protecting workers and the community by playing a vital role in workplace safety and supporting employees and communities nationwide?

AusHealth is seeking dedicated individuals to express interest in Casual Drug and Alcohol collections positions available across Australia. As part of a national testing organisation serving many different industries and sectors, you will play a critical role in upholding compliance and workplace safety across the country.

AusHealth is an Australian-owned medical research charity. We have a reputation for our high-quality services, products, and consultation to researchers, workplaces, and hospitals. Through the profits from our workplace safety services and hospital billing solutions, we fund groundbreaking medical research conducted right here in Australia.

The Opportunity

As one of our valued Collectors, your work will involve:

  • Performing workplace drugs and alcohol testing
  • Maintaining the chain of custody of specimens and accurate records of all on-site visits.
  • Organising the transportation of specimens to laboratories after collection as required.

As a casual specimen collector, your working hours will vary in accordance with client demand and hours will fluctuate from week to week.

Given the nature of our operations, AusHealth provides services 24/7 and as such availability at short notice is an important requirement for this role.

To perform the duties effectively, the following are essential:

  • A smartphone with reliable connectivity
  • A current driver’s licence
  • Access to a reliable vehicle

While COVID-19 vaccination is not mandatory, a number of our clients require staff to be fully vaccinated, with evidence of vaccination necessary for specific sites.

Experience and training in the health sector, handling biological specimens and/or workplace safety will be highly regarded. You must be legally entitled to live and work in Australia

  • Qualifications in HLTPAT005 (preferred)
  • NV1 Security Clearance (preferred)
