We are now seeking the next generation of Mineral Resources Employees through our CSI Mining Services Trainee Operator Program.

About CSI Mining Services

CSI Mining Services is an innovative and leading diversified crushing services provider. The Opportunity

The CSI Fixed Plant Operator Traineeship is a unique and dynamic program that allows you to experience the mining industry and develop your skills in a safe and supportive environment.

The Traineeship will see you complete site based practical on-the-job training at one of our remote sites gaining experience across a variety of crushing equipment.

During the traineeship, tasks will include:

  • operating and monitoring fixed plant equipment including crushers, screens, conveyors and stockyard machines
  • carrying out inspections, reporting and record keeping
  • maintaining high housekeeping standards across plant, control rooms and vehicles
  • performing physically demanding work, including manual handling up to 40 kg and working at heights
  • assisting with maintenance, shutdowns and breakdowns.

What is required

  • 100% commitment to complying with all relevant Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures
  • To be passionate about a long-term career in mining and to be keen, willing and able to learn a variety of new skills related to fixed plant crushing & processing environments
  • A flexible and enthusiastic attitude to work and training
  • Capable of working in a busy, hands-on environment with strong time management skills
  • Willingness to work in remote mine sites, up to 12 hours a day, roster includes 7 days of dayshift, 7 days of nightshift and then having 7 days off work (14 days on / 7 days off)
  • The ability to work as part of a successful team with well-rounded communication skills
  • Hold a current C class driver’s licence (No Provisional Drivers Licence)
  • A Nationally Co-ordinated Criminal History Check within 12 months (or ability to gain prior to commencing)
  • To pass a pre-employment medical examination and ongoing fitness for work assessments (including drug and alcohol testing)
