Role Overview:
As a Medical Receptionist , you will be the first point of contact for our patients.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Greeting patients warmly and assisting with check-in procedures.
- Answering emails and phone calls promptly and handling inquiries professionally.
- Advising patients of preparation prior to relevant scans.
- Billing procedures – private, Medicare, workers compensation, and DVA. Collaborating with clerical and technical staff, radiologists, and referrers.
You will also have the opportunity to be trained as a contact centre agent to assist as required:
- Answering phone calls promptly and handling inquiries professionally. Booking appointments across our four Canberra clinics.
What we’re looking for:
✅ Clear verbal and written communication skills.
✅ Strong organisational abilities to manage appointments and patient flow.
✅ Confidence working across multiple screens and systems.
✅ A strong background in customer service.
✅ Ability to rotate across the four clinics in Canberra as required: Belconnen, Deakin, Woden, and Tuggeranong
